This was a highly anticipated game for me as I had the opportunity to interview Seattle Sea Dragon’s QB Ben DiNucci this summer during a quarterback camp held in Arlington. During this camp Jake Plummer worked on drills and mechanics with the attending QBs’. When the camp finished I was able to get a moment on camera with the QB who made a bold statement that the Renegades will need better defensive backs to keep up with their passing attack. Followed by him saying he can’t wait to come back to Dallas and showcase his talent and passion for football. The game did not fall short of expectations!!

The Seattle Sea Dragons earned a convincing 24-15 victory over the Arlington Renegades, improving their record to 4-2. The Sea Dragons’ offense was impressive, led by quarterback Ben DiNucci, who completed 21 of his 32 passing attempts for 266 yards and one touchdown. The team’s ground game was also strong, with T.J. Hammonds and Darius Bradwell combining for 115 yards and one touchdown. Seattle’s defense put up a solid showing, holding the Renegades to just 15 points. Tre Walker and Antoine Brooks Jr. led the defense with seven tackles each, while Qwynnterrio Cole contributed an interception.

Arlington’s quarterbacks, Drew Plitt and Kevin Anderson, combined for 20 completions on 30 attempts for 215 yards and one interception. The team’s running back duo, De’Veon Smith and Leddie Brown, managed 95 yards and two touchdowns. Sal Cannella led the team in receiving yards with 64 yards on four catches. On the defensive side, Colin Schooler and Donald Payne led the Renegades’ defense with ten tackles each, while Will Hill secured an interception.

Kickers also played a crucial role in the game, with Seattle’s Dominik Eberle converting all three of his field goal attempts, including a 48-yarder. Arlington’s Taylor Russolino made his only field goal attempt from 36 yards out.

The Seattle Sea Dragons’ strong performance in this game bodes well for their season, and they will look to build on this momentum in the coming weeks. The Arlington Renegades will need to regroup and address the issues exposed during this game as they aim to bounce back in their next matchup.
