Okay, this game was litty from the staff, too our saucy mascot Duece with the smooth moves!!! I see why the Roughriders are the next best kept secret… but the cat is out the bag now!! We will be reporting on the team, doing player interviews and game recaps this season!!! This was definitely a vibe from the people, the pregame activities for the kiddos to the adults! Then it was gametime!!! First at bat the lead of got thrown out at first. Diosbel Arias Second base got a double base hit to the fence Nick Tanielu First Basemen takes the first pitch and check swing the next pitch for ball number 2. The pitcher finally threw a strike and the next pitch, The batter was able to make contact and advance the runner to third base Kellen Strahm takes the bat with runners on first and third base with two outs, and is facing two strikes and manages to stay at bat with a popup foul ball. He was not able to come through for the team with being the final out of the inning. Trevor Hauver the left fielder has a full count with a runner on second, and the left hander strikes out. Next at bat is Scott Kapers the catcher and the runner advances to third after the catchers misses the pitched ball. Scott is at the plate swinging for the fence and got stuck out! Next, we got up Jax Biggers the third baseman who grounds out after batting the ball back to the pitcher. We are at the top of the third and pitcher T Roby has been solid with only 1 hit from the Travelers. Patrick Frick is up at bat with 2 balls and 2 strikes and manages a double with a hit to rightfield. Next at bat for the Travelers is Riley Unroe the left fielder who came at bat with something to prove. We have runners on second and third with Tanner Kirwer at bat with a full count and manages to stay alive with the foul ball down first base line. Kirwer was the first walk of the game and the team and fans are starting to chatter about the pitcher. Next, we have Leo Rivas who takes the first pitch that was a strike, that was followed by a ball. The ball was popped up in the air to left field and was caught by left fielder for outnumber 1. The travelers were able to get the first score of the game. Next at bat is Robbie Tenerowicz the first baseman that hit the fence advancing runners on third and gaining the RBI for the second score of the game. Batter Robert Perez the Right Fielder is at bat with runners on second and third. That was swapped out by the coach and Designated Hitter Isiah Gilliam is batting with a 0-1 pitch count and the next pitch was a ball and now the count is 2-2 with two outs. Then Robey comes in clutch with the come from behind strike out. Bottom of the third and DH Thomas Saggese is at bat for the Riders with a 0-3 count but the pitchers was able to make throw 4 a strike then coming back to retire the first batter for the riders. Next at bat is Diosbel Arias with 2 outs and a pitch count of 2 and 2 then manages to get walked to first base. Unfortunately, the next better singled out for the final out of the fourth inning.

Here we are at the top of the fourth inning and the Travelers have Jake Anchia at bat but is thrown out at first base after a poorly batted ball. Mike Salvatore hit the ball after a check swing down to third base and was quickly thrown out at first. Patrick Frick comes to bat and quickly get a pitch count of 2 and 0, then falls behind after throwing two balls. Frick got on base after a single down the third baseline, but some might call it an error since the ball hit the third baseman’s glove. Tanner Kirwer gets on base with a double. The travers now has runners on second and third base. The traveler is starting to get in groove with hitting the ball in the fourth inning and making the score 4 to 0. Next to bat we have Leo Rivas and the base runner on first, just stole second with a way behind throw from the catcher. The pitcher makes an errant throw and almost hits the batter, and of course the runner from second advanced to third. Robey stands tall and retire the batter to bring us to the bottom of the fourth.

First at bat is Kellen Strahm who got lucky and was walked to first base. Next up is Chris Seise who comes to bat looking to advance the runner to second base but was stuck out. Next batter is Trevor Hauver while at bat was able to get the runner to steal second base, with a 2 and 3 pitch count. He hit a nice shot up the second base/center field and was able to get the runner to third and him to first. Scott Kapers comes to bat with hopes to bat him the first run for the team. The first pitch was swung on and missed but the next pitch was hit to the center field but was able to get home their first score of the game. Jax Biggers comes in looking to continue to batting rally and bunts the ball down third base. Runners are now on first and second with Thomas Saggese up to bat and with a bad pitch the runner on second was able to steal third. We currently have runners in scoring position with the batter now facing a full count, and made a nice hit but the right fielder made a better diving catch for the last out of inning 4.

We are at the top of the fifth inning and the score is Arkansas 4, Frisco 1 and the leadoff batter was able to get a single hit to first base. Batter Robert Perez Jr was struck out for the first out of the inning. Next up we got Isiah Gilliam who comes to bat with one out and a runner on first base and currently behind on the count with 2 strikes and no balls. He then swings and hits to the right field wall and getting an RBI and himself a triple, with a score now 5 to 1. Batter Jake Anchia comes to bat with a runner on third and up in the count with 2 balls, grab a chair for Anchia as he was struck out for the second out of the inning. Mike Salvatore is back up to bat and is behind on the count with 2 strikes and a runner on third and pops the ball up to for an easy right fielder catch. We are in the bottom of the fifth and Luisangel Acuna is first at bat and his behind on the count with 2 strikes, 1 ball and was sent packing as he was struck out. Next up Diosbel Arias who is trying to start a spark for the team as the bats have gone cold in the fifth inning. He had a pop fly to left field and was easily caught for out number 2. Next up is Nick Tanielu who will try to avoid being out number 3 but was struck out to end inning number 5. We at the start of the sixth inning and the Roughriders are looking like they want to give this game away with a score Arkansas 5, Riders 1. First at bat for the Travelers is Patrick Frick who singles to the second baseman and easily thrown out at first. Next batter is Riley Unroe who hits the ball up the first baseline for a routine base tag for the second out of the inning. Tanner Kirwer does an infield pop fly for the final out. We are at the top of the 6th inning and the Riders are still looking for a score since the fourth inning, and with Kellen Strahm at bat we might get the spark we need, but instead is walked by the pitcher. Next up is Chris Seise who gets K’d for the first out of the inning, Trevor Hauver is looking to make up for the last batter’s strike out. Unfortunately, the pitcher just hung him out to dry and became the second out of the inning. Scott Kapers is batting with a runner still on first base, and was caught looking for the final out of inning 6. Here we goooo, the last inning of the game and it is lucky number 7 and a pitcher change for the riders to close out the game. First batter for the Travelers is Leo Rivas and quickly gets up in the count is 3 balls and no strikes, but was walked to first base. Next batter is Robbie Tenerowicz who hit a shot to the shortstop that almost resulted in a double play, but turned into a hit double for the batter. With two runners in scoring position, Robert Perez JR take the bat who hits a shot back at the shortstop. Which allowed both runner in scoring position to score, bringing the score 7 runs to 1. Isiah Gilliam is at bat with a runner on first base, and the pitching struggles continue with another batter walked to first base. Now the catcher and pitching coaches walk to the mound but it might be a tad bit too late for any changes or pep talks. Jake Anchia comes to bat with runners on first and second with no outs and with a full count, the result is another batter walked to first base. Mike Salvatore takes the bat with a runner in scoring position pops the ball up for the first out of inning number 7. We have Patrick Frick batting with Salvatore in scoring position, hits the ball to the shortstop that makes a routine out to second base. It is our turn at bat to close out the game and batter Jax Biggers is set to make the first at bat of the inning and is down on counts with 2 strikes. Who was sent home packing after being struck out to start they’re at bats, next up. They made a switch at bat with T Saggese taking the bat as a designated hitter with one out and no runners on base, hit a single to second base and was thrown out at first. Next up is Luisangel Acuna who can be the last out or last hope of staying at bat, and just like that he was struck out to end the game in the seventh inning. With the Arkansas Travelers taking the second game of the day 7 -1.
