The Frisco RoughRiders and Arkansas Travelers series has been really competitive with impressive wins by both teams. With both teams tying for first place in their respective divisions, no wonder this is a fan favorite. That is right, I was told since the Travelers are the Seattle Mariners minor league team. This once a year game is waited on by many of the local fans.
In the second game, Frisco’s Tekoah Roby struggled, allowing four runs in four innings with five strikeouts. Arkansas’ Kyle Tyler pitched well, allowing only one run in four innings before Devin Sweet came in to pitch two scoreless innings and earn the win.
Kellen Strahm was the only Frisco player to score in the second game, while Chris Seise hit a home run in the first game and went 1-for-3 in the second game. Luisangel Acuña had a strong performance with five runs batted in, including a grand slam and an RBI double in the first game.
It will be interesting to see how these two teams perform in their upcoming games and if either of them can take sole possession of first place in their division.
