Game Preview: Dallas Wings vs. Minnesota Lynx — June 8
The Dallas Wings continue Commissioner’s Cup play on Sunday when they host the Minnesota Lynx. Tipoff at College Park Center is slated for 3 p.m. CT, with the game airing locally in the Dallas-Fort Worth area on KFAA29 and streaming out-of-market on WNBA League Pass. Sunday’s game is the Wings’ annual Pride Celebration presented by TelyRx.
The Wings (1-8) are coming off a 93-79 setback to the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday night in Arlington. Luisa Geiselsöder posted her first career double-double with career highs of 11 points and 10 rebounds. Minnesota (8-0) is one of two remaining unbeaten teams along with the New York Liberty. The Lynx most recently defeated the Phoenix Mercury 88-65 on Tuesday, with Napheesa Collier posting 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Dallas and Minnesota have met twice already this season with the Lynx winning both contests – 99-84 on May 16 in Texas and 85-81 on May 21 in Minnesota. Arike Ogunbowale has led the Wings in scoring in both matchups with the Lynx, averaging 18.5 points per game this year against the Western Conference foes.
