Our Frisco RoughRiders defeated the Midland RockHounds with a score of 11-2 at Momentum Bank Ballpark. Frisco scored in every inning except for two, while Midland scored only in the first and fifth innings. Kellen Strahm hit an RBI single to right to plate Thomas Saggese, giving Frisco the lead in the first inning. Midland tied the game with a bases-loaded walk from J.J. Schwarz. Frisco regained the lead in the third inning when Saggese hit an RBI single. In the fourth inning, Josh Sale hit a two-run homer for his first career Double-A long ball, increasing Frisco’s lead to 4-1. Midland drew within two with another bases-loaded walk in the fifth inning, but from then on, it was all Frisco. The RoughRiders scored seven more runs, including a run on an error and four runs batted in by Sale and Luisangel Acuña. On the mound, Wyatt Sparks earned the win in his Double-A debut, while Joey Estes took the loss for Midland.
